White Cross Work Bee
You do NOT have to sew to participate in White Cross. At 9:00am the work begins with measuring, cutting, ironing, sewing, & serging. We do need people who cannot sew to run between the various stations and cut ties and iron blankets. Besides that, it is fun to chat and get caught up in what’s going on in everyone’s lives!
White Cross Ministry is a thriving and vital service to hospitals in Cameroon, Africa. The part we play is by making baby layettes that are given to every new mother. A layette consists of a colorful blanket, jacket and diaper. To get a visual of how important White Cross is go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKzBny1gvRI . Please sign up at the info Centre so we know how much food to prepare.
